This is a blog for people interested in church discipline with a focus on the mechanics and the practical impact, not the theology. It is to serve the community of people who are subject to church discipline or recovering from it, so the discussions here view discipline from a member's not from a pastor's perspective. Comments from pastors, people who themselves have been involved in any capacity, have information about it, or just would like to discuss discipline are all very welcome.

Female Leadership in churches debate over
My debate with Frank Turk (centuri0n) of TeamPyro on female leadership in churches is done. You can read it all here: unfortunately in reverse order link
part1
part2
part3
On his blog the order of posts is reversed so read from the bottom. I'll post some exerts here later as articles. Feel free to comment or continue the debate here.
A woman can be just as capable of leading a church as a man. I would be so excited to debate about this. Anyone care to contribute?

ReplyDeleteYou may want to trace back the links and see what centuri0n said. He provided the counter argument when I was debating him. I think some of the SGMers on here might disagree but I don't know if they would want to debate this.
Let's look at this from a practical standpoint. This really doesn't need to be as complicated as some people are making it out to be. It's not as if women are being relied on for their physical strength and agility. In 2 Cor 10:3, Paul says that the Christian struggle is not a physical one. I suppose they could argue emotional stability, but that deals more on an individual level.
